The Maryland State Grange has announced two college scholarships available for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Students may apply for the Agriculture Scholarship or the Deaf Studies Scholarship. The Agriculture Scholarship may be given to students in any major. The Deaf Studies Scholarship will be awarded to hearing- impaired students or those studying in the hearing impaired field. Applicants do not need to be Maryland State Grange or Calvert Grange members. The Maryland State Grange, founded in 1874, is made up of individual community Granges. The community Granges raise funds for these scholarships each year. The Maryland State Grange is part of the National Grange, headquartered in Washington, D.C. The National Grange was founded in 1867 and is the nation's oldest fraternal farm organization.
